Excretion of C?

What is vitamin C? Is there such a thing as a vitamin C complex? Why do so many people now believe in the complex?

Large doses of vitamin C will lead to higher diuresis and a tendency to loose kalium (because the reabsorption mechanism is rate-limited). This happens in any case of high diuresis. I wonder if adding some extra kalium to the diet might be a wise choice?

why is copper the only thing being discussed... The PH level of the body seems like a real issue and taking baking soda with it doesn't seem wise because a big rise in sodium causes a drop in potassium
