Check your diet to see if you are eating enough Vitamin C. Recent research shows eating adequate Vitamin C helps your body burn more fat during exercise.

When researchers had people with low blood levels of Vitamin C walk on a treadmill, they burned 25 percent less fat than those people with adequate levels of Vitamin C in their blood.

Luckily, it is easy to get your Vitamin C levels up to normal. When researchers gave a dose of Vitamin C to people who were low, fat burning returned to normal.

Are there any studies showing that a high level of vitamin c in the system increases fat burning?

I just talked to a lady who had chronic urinary tract infections.

She started taking 1 packet of livon a day and from the 1st day she stopped getting them.

Now 90 days later as a side affect her weight's dropped from 320 down to 250.

Doctors kept telling her that she was just fat and that she needed to diet. The vitamin C singlehandedly normalized both her metabolism and cured her chronic urinary infections.

Wow!

Do you think she might be willing to identify herself and become the subject of a "case study"?

Actually there are. I have entire catalog related to obesity and vitamin C and it indeed seems to help. For one, it is used to make carnitine without which you can't burn fat efficiently as it transports fats to mitochondria. Some people are clearly more affected then others.

Vitamin C is also modulating leptin concentration.

Is, or WAS, she diabetic as well?

Simple principle: if you show sign of ANY nutrient deficiency, you can expect all sorts of "side effects" if and when you correct that deficiency.
FI, at Riordan Clinic, they test every patient for a whole set of deficiencies before treatment. ANY single deficiency can cause depression. Care to look up the profits from treating depression? Makes me DEPRESSED, DAMMIT! Be careful - cured depression with correct nutrition gives you energy and you get MAD!

After that, other deficiencies may become apparent; work on them one by each. As you get basics fixed, all manner of good stuff happens.
Common that you need to return to the earlier ones as your system starts working again, or maybe for the first time, given most diets from preconception.

Urinary tract infection, more or less in order = C, A, iodine, ... Rare to unknown to get past the first two and still have the infection.

Owen's fav voodoo - C and A and iodine and selenium and B vitamins all increase adrenal function and you burn fat - without paying for, begging for, or taking synthetic chemo hormone replacement therapy, aka cortisol. Side effects - energy, cure of "autoimmune diseases", lost infections, normalization of cholesterol, lessening of paranoia, etc = health

If you see her again, ask about bruises, hair falling out, nails breaking, skin problems, fatigue, illness, allergy, depression, etc. (shingles!)
